: BOURBON ORCA - Ulstein AX104
: sea.mariner March 12, 2010, 14:50:07
It is with thanks to BOURBON OFFSHORE that I was granted permission to go aboard the BOURBON ORCA today in Aberdeen to take photos of such an advanced anchor-handling vessel to operate in the North Sea  :). As the situation stands, I cannot post very many photos on the foum but I do have a few 'quay shots'. I was asked by BOURBON to do a photo shoot but untill I get confirmation to add extra photos the next photos is all I can offer.

So a link to her ;

And a few photos ;

The reason for the 'stamp' is because my photos heve now leaked onto the 'other' forum and as this is a unique vessel with many models being built of it I have no choice but to stamp them  :( So some more taken yesterday ;

On www.tugboats.de is a report on Bourbon Orca. Go to the English part and then to REPORTS and scroll down to Bourbon Orca. Perhaps you can find some photos you are looking for.

Dan,

Great pictures, I am building a model of the Orca, the build log is over on mayhem forum.

I tried to get a set of plans from Bourbon and Ulstein, but neither would let me have any, so I designed my own version, taking cues from photos and publicity blurb.

Anyway, its doing ok, but I wish I could get aboard for some pics..
