: Posting Photo Security Check
: C-10 June 26, 2012, 00:00:27
 ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Has anybody else had a problem posting photo`s  ------  all I get is attachments have failed security checks,
         when posting.
I`ve tried logging out and back in ---   tried modifing the post ---  making the photo`s smaller -- re-submitting
and even kicking the  black and white cat from the doll`s house , that caused the problem.

Perhaps one of the moderators could explain what is happening?

Barry,

I had the same problem last week but it has not surfaced again since then. I was attempting to post a single picture that was within the size limits.

Good luck.

I've had that happen too. If I remember correctly I tried posting 3 photos and got the message and then I tried taking the last one off and it went through.  I re-saved and renamed the one it didn't like in my photo program (Paint Shop Pro X) and that seemed to fix it.  But it could have just been luck.  Sounds like some arcane security part of the software that's getting confused.  Kind of annoying isn't it.

Looks like it worked for you Mark.

It just seems to happen sometimes, for me.
Could be the photo file size. but I try to keep the ones I post to a medium size.

By the way, that tug 'Volatile' is sure a beastie!

 :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Still trying to resolve the security check by trying to post a previous picture[size was 1000 by 664 and 95.65kb] from
Big Bertha but once again the" attachments failed the security" reappeared  -----  anybody any ideas ----- would the tugmaster
please forward my old password for C-11 so I could try using a different log in.

On a different note------ I can still remember the Volatile and the Swarthy steaming up Portsmouth Harbour at dusk with
black smoke billowing out of their stacks and the white wash from their paddles streaming behind at the latter end of WW 2.

Getting a failed security check while attempting to post pictures. The pictures were emailed to a secure US Federal Govt computer and passed the security check here so I am fairly sure there is no problem with the files. Thanks for your help.

Took my own advice and saved the pics as something else and tried again with success. Don't know what the problem was.

We are not sure why this problem seems to pop up. It certainly effects the users on the American/Canadian side of the big pond. Maybe it is your Homeland Security department becoming more zealous than usual!  angel

Still happening 12 hours later. File size seems OK but get a 'failed security' message. Tried re-naming but no luck.

Seems to be a known problem, Possible upgrade may be in order

However 2.04 does seem to be the latest so not sure about the 2.1 the mention , unless 2.1 is a section which can be loaded as a subsection. ???

I posted 3 at a time the other day expecting it to crash but those all loaded without a hiccup. I do select the photos - e-mail to myself first, place tem in a folder - then load them from that. Bit of manipulating but they seem to be OK.
Puffin has quite a few to post - we'll see if his upload.

3 days later same message.
Tried resizing, renaming, saved as tif and jpg, test emailed and received but won't allow me to post onto the forum.

I'm still getting this message when trying to post pics. Been getting it for about 10 days. Tried re-saving, renaming, re-formatting, smaller file size, using pics previously posted but nothing works. Thought it might be photoshop images but won't take them straight from the camera either. Thought it might be a Mac problem but can post to other forums OK. Doesn't seem to affect everyone. Has anyone found a way around this problem?
