Great picture of the 'Chieftain'.
Kinda cool to see these old 'girls' still towing...after all these years huh?
Boats like the Seaspan Sovereign, Sea Commander, Island Commander, Craig Foss, Glen Cove, etc......and all of these are over 50 years old.
Kinda like footski....Oops...I didn't say that....OK...gotta log off now!!!

Cheers

I hear the Island Commander has been up your way...towing logs lately....with a bit of controversy involved :o

Looks like she's on her third w/house in your picture.
Must be built like a battleship, that old girl, seeing as she was built in 1913...or thereabouts, as a fishing trawler in the UK, and still working.

Cheers

Hey, you might have pics of my uncle's tugs. He has a towing company that works out of Campbell river. I can't remember all the tugs he has, 6 or 7 the last I chatted with him.

A few more pics, taken today, of the Seaspan Regent and the 16,000 ton logbarge Seaspan Survivor, on her way to Ladysmith BC, to dump her load.

Nice photos.
Were you out on the Leslie Ann?
A lot of traffic in your area.
I've noticed generally fewer log tows coming down coast here.

I was out in the 'skiff' for a while. 8)
It was a bit 'bumpy' out there, so the pics are'nt all that good :(

The wood that is moving..seems to be going in strange directions these days.....

Hi Ray:
There's still snow up on the hills and the Mountains have a pretty decent 'snow-pack' still.
It's still colder than normal, for this time of year though.

Cheers

Point Hope Shipyard yesterday - couldn't see any name on this one - anyone know?

Powerpoles, lines and that fence always interfere with the photos!
