New Project - Older Tug
« on: February 01, 2009, 10:23:20 »
New acquisition to the 'yard'. Fibreglass hull & cabin structures and a ton of cast parts, Robbe 600 motor & gearbox, all needing some direction! At 1/32 - about 96 feet in length. Doors scale about right at that scale. Looking for a few ideas - looking at those photos posted earlier. Have to push forward with this one as other half has made a few comments concerning unfinished boats taking up too much space!

I don't know, from the second photo it looks like it already makes a good rubbing post  :) or maybe a way to scratch that one little spot. Why are cats so interested in what we are doing on the work bench, mine when ever I start to do something she is there in a flash and just sits and watches.  ???  Anyway a very nice looking friend and a nice looking tug also.

Hi Ray
Will not commit to a completion date!!
Both cats have to jump in to be more than helpful -

Looking through photos to find one that would look good.

Nice looking project boat Mike :) :)

She looks really familiar from somewhere............. ???

Foss Tug & Launch used to run dozens of tugs that looked just like that, back in the 30's, and up to the 60's.

...Cheers...

PS: Sorry to post this pic, yet once again, but it looks much like your new project boat huh?

Hi Mike:
I'm not sure who's model that is....just found it on Google one day, while looking for something else.
Looks to be from the Pacific North West.

Umi may recognize it though ;)
