Progress has been made with the hull. Planking virtually completed and the hull removed from its base. Hull frames removed and work started on cleaning it up, before I think about glassing it...

Looks great - what glue are you using there?

A medium superglue. It works very well and speeds up the build. Mind you, I have gone through tubes of the releasing agent as I kept sticking myself to the hull, worktop, tools.....oh and my clothes..... :-[ :-[

Thanks Puffin.

Anyway, a friend of mine managed to track down the cloth and polyester resin for the fibreglass. A litre of the resin and 3 sq metres of varying clothes all for 11 Euros.....Now that has made me a happy boy!! :D :D :D

I have finally finished the hull sanding after glassing the inside to make the structure hard. A little filling was needed in places so the hull looked quite good. Then I put on the first layer of glass matting and resin. It looks awful now, but I have to trim it up and do a second layer, using a fine cloth...

Looking awesome Barry :) :) :)

There's nothing like building your own hull eh....even though it's been years since I've built one from scratch :-[ :-[ :-[

Keep up the good work.
