Yes a lovely model John; did you use the Kingston Mouldings Sun XXI hull as the basis for the tug? I've thought about scratch building the Sun XXIV (or Kingston as it is now) tug with this hull, but it would be "4 metres" too long in 1/35 scale. I thought about scaling up the superstructure a bit to compensate for this. Any thoughts?

Hi Simon,no it was scratch built 40 inch long the kingston hull was to small.
You could do your own hull its more fun ;)

A nicely done civilian version of an old ST tug. They make nice models with lots of room inside for electronics. A guy named Francis Smith used to produce a kit suitable for RC.
