I will try my best (as always!) The problem with close up detailed photos is that the quay will be very busy, I will call the harbour board and see if she has a sailing date as Sundays is always the best for quietness down there. Regards, Dan.
Photos / Information, I nearly have them all !

Hello

A Texas Dec is a storage deck like a mezzanine over the aft deck  :)

A+ Xtian

PS : My hull is 1,86 m ! not easy with Easy jet or Flybe  ;)

Hello

One way or the other  :o

But I've seen on Mayhem one or two months ago that you are working on a + than 2 meters Xbow hull. If I remember well you said a hull in two part isn't it ?

About mine, I've stop now to work on her as I have to finish the modernization of my older supply (new paint, new electronic) then in july I hope to work back on the Xbow.

Have you seen that there is now 3 sister ships with Peter ?

The hull will be coming from Italy, as and when they get back to me, they are saying due to a large backlog of orders they are trying to speed up the processing of the hulls, I was thinking that with a 2 piece hull it would be more difficult to make the 'joining' details (the split is around the winch area), but as for yours it would be much easier  :)

Hello all, xtian if you are looking for a detail photo of the deck crane there is one taken in Lerwick last week already in the public domain. Follow the link as mentioned below to see them. I hope these help.

cheers

Jim

Hello all, the new X-bow vessel  Island Constructor has been in Lerwick for the 1st time that I'm aware of. I got the opportunity to take a few photos on the way into work this morning. Also linked is the Marine AIS site which has some more pics to view.

cheers

Jim

Edit p.s. there has been more info on the 1st visit mentioned. This was only the second of these ships to visit Lerwick but the Island Constructor was by far the larger.

Hello again

Shame on you : going to the harbour with your wife

There is one exception with Xtian wife as she like so much suppliers and tugs ... really  :) and I'm sure that she's better than some people here to the mystery tug quizz   ;D
