MEMBERS MODELS

Possibly I am posting this in the wrong place but I am sure it will be moved by the appropriate authorities  ;D

It was just a thought, after seeing ARH's topic (To Chipchase) he has posted some great photos of his builds, would it be possible to start up a section within the forum for any members to post photos of there builds (tugs or not) as a sort of 'home fleet' ;

i.e ;

SEA.MARINERS MODELS
FOOTSKIS MODELS
TUGMASTERS MODELS
TANGOS MODELS
TUGS53 MODELS
ARH's MODELS

etc etc

Just a thought,

Regards, Dan.

Well Dan, as this is just an idea at this stage it appears to be in the right place.....

I assume that you are suggesting we all put photos of our models into one thread, not a separate thread for each of us???

If so I think it is a great idea, but before we start what does everybody think?

If we like it, we will get Sea Mariner to start a new thread with his photos first!!!(In the Ship and Anchor section). :) :)

Maybe start a poll FOOTSKI, let it run for a couple of weeks (that will give me time to get my wife to remove the dust off some of the models !)

Just an idea  ;)

Cheers Dan.

As a substitute for a 'Member's Gallery', and adhered to as such, I think it's a good idea....but my only concern is that it may distract from organized, and categorized build and photo threads.

If it's 'Pictures Only'....that should help.

That's my two cents worth ;) ;)

That was my original thought but maybe I have conveyed it wrong  ::)

I was thinking there should be a topic within the forum to post photos of models each member owns.

For example ;

Within one of the sub topics (ship & anchor etc) the could be a topic of MEMBERS MODELS, Here each member can post there models, maybe old ones they built and have sold or sunk, and then we can all update our own individual photos if we buy new models / kits.

I am not sure if it is possible, but it would be better I think to have this topic 'not open to other posts' thus meaning not long chit chat maybe from one members and others get no interest.  So for another Idea, could the moderators not put a link to everyones profile to allow each member to show there builds ?

Have I gone too far now ? opened a can of worms ? or just not making any sense  ;D

With each model's picture could be the model name in the title, to assist the search engine.

By this it would be easy to call up, say for example, all the 'Rotterdams' or 'Cannings' to assist future builders.

Just a thought.

I agree that it should just be pictures , with the name in the title and then maybe a short description
Eg Total scratch built , semi kit ,  etc
Next Build M.S.C Volant after 1 other.
