Hello to all, lurked for awhile, thought the reading would be better if I could see the pics. Glad also to see there are some BC people and some from Vancouver Island as well. I'm from Port Hardy, and the Springer bug has struck me in a bad way, always had an interest in boats, born on a boat and raised on the water (literally) always wanted to build an RC boat from scratch, and this seems like a good choice for our first Father-Son scratch build (he's almost 6). Hull and deck is basically done, just needs fiberglas and paint. Tonight I was gluing the coaming for the access hatch, tomorrow the first deck of the wheelhouse should be well on its way. Haven't really got a plan for the topsides, will probably just fiddle with it until things look OK.

Planning to make a barge as well, maybe a flat one with an articulating ramp?

This is a great site and its nice to have some locals to ask questions.

Welcome Aboard Cedartree !

Thanks for coming out of the wilderness and becoming a member ...as you said ...you can see all our pics now...as guests cannot.

We got some great folks on here from BC and so we hope you will be able to hook up with them sooner or later.

Don't forget to post some pics of your Springer build too !

Cheers

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome, I went in and updated my profile a bit. Now I just have to figure out how to post pics from the build so far.  ::)

Thanks for the pic posting info. I've started a thread in the Springer section titled "Cedartree Boatworks - Springer build". Forum jump or copy/paste the link to see it.
