Great work there Kappie  :) The railings look very good, this is going to be a great model when you are finished  ;)

The weather here in Aberdeen is too cold for modelling outside so I have gone back to photography until the warmer weather arrives  :)

Regards, Dan.
Photos / Information, I nearly have them all !

This week i had orderd some motors for the tug. 2 speed 500E motors will be built in. These motors recommend on the dutch site where i also write about the building of this tug.
Further i orderd a bowtruster see link http://www.kagelmacher-modellbau.de/epages/62255885.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/62255885/Categories/Antriebe/Querstrahlruder

I also had orderd some rails for stairs availeble by http://www.g-schmidt.com/

This company had ships/container and other ships in scale 1:100 also fittings in that scale like mine rails

They also had send me some rails for the stairs. They are not at the site but can be orderd by them

So now everything is orderd now waiting when everything is recieved and waiting for better weather so i can further in the shet. I will first make the hull ready take some planks out and fill it with foam. It is easy to modell it. and than glassfibre it.

So there is much to do but the weather must get better.

So now i will further detail the accomodation.

So this week i had recieved the motors and the bowtruster. Now waiting for better weather.

I also had made this week some floodlights. I use therefor some pipe from evergreen and some small stones who you can stick. The stones are from my wife who used them for selfmade cards. These are shining stone's. The look like the headlights of modelscale cars.

I also had some atributes, spoolcars, for fire cars in scale 1:87. I cut some pieces from it like the wheels and a rail. these spolls will be fit on the foredeck after painting yellow for hold the lines. I will use the middle one.

In last message i told you about the rails for the stairs. I had take some rail nad test it on the model.

Thanks kieran.

It is also een very impressive tug. Further i like every body to see that you can also make something with "normal"pieces and not always with very expensive fittings.

Now hoping for good weather and than finishing the hull. I am very curious how she will be in the water.

It takes alot of skill to make your own fittings.

Hello all,

It was a little quiet at the site about the fotiy Krylov but it wan't. I was looking for a good replacement for the wooden hull. It was to heavy and not so much splace for accu's motor etc.

So i was looking some day and saw somebody who made its hull from cardboard. And because it is mine first model with a hull, i mostly had made some as waterline model, i had something to try it. So i buy a cardboardmodel of the old Smit tug Elbe.
i use this model as a sample for the hull of the Fotiy Krylov.

The first photo of new the hull.

I use pas - partou cardboard 1,7mm thick you can buy by the photoshop ore art shop.

Not all the rafters are placed but you see it looks good.

There will be now more place for building is some electronics, motors, bowtruster and a nice accu.
