Rea Towing... this is the only photo I could find, she was in the colours of 'Red Funnel' tugs in Southampton.

Jim

PS:Or are you interested in the one moored at Fiddlers Ferry ? They look very similar but the one at FF is a TID and I think they may be two separate vessels.

Rea Towing, if this is the same Bonchurch owned by Tyne Towage, I am positive it had its own website charting its restoration.

Hi Peter,

The Bonchurch had a bit of a chequered ownership, she was part of Tyne Towage, which was a small 2 or 3 tug outfit owned if I remember rightly by a fellow called Mick Devlin, Tyne Towage was swallowed up by Switzer.
The website if I remember correctly was called "Shanes Bonchurch", I dont think the restoration was ever finished and she was sold to interests in the south.
Shanes Bonchurch must be now defunct as it must be about 5 or 6 years ago that I came across it Try googling %Bonchurch Tug% and you will get some results.
Sorry I cant be of any more help.

Peter.

Hi Peter,

Looks like Tyne Towage went out of existance about 97/98, all their web links are dead, however I did find a couple of photos when Bonchurch was on the Tyne, they are not from my collection just hope they will help.

Peter.
