it is the Lloyd B. Gore, (now Ku'ulakai) ex William F. Ladd, ex LT 465 built northeast ship builders  Quincey Mass. in 1944.brought to B.C. in 1950 by Young and Gore who had the solid teak doors put on also Turner built lapstrake boats etc. as per CSI instructions. Al

Wonderful model and a great old tug.

Young and Gore kept their fleet looking like yachts...so I've been told, and read.

I guess her and the 'Dominion' are the only 'restored' Miki's left huh?

Here's Al installing the second layer of cushion to the Lloyd B. Gore (now Kuulakai).  I guess he's in the process of scratch re-building.  ;>)

Al's at it again.  Here he is drilling through the bulwarks (about four feet) to install bolts to secure all the timbers together.  First he made a countersink hole about 1 1/2" deep and then using an angle guide started the hole with a 16" bit.
