POSTING PICS,
« on: March 07, 2011, 06:46:36 »

Hi all. I am having  a few problems posting  pics,. I have posted 4 pics of a 2411 wheelhouse ok the rest of the
pics would not send.  I have been told pics to large, or to long to post.

Do I reduce the pic, size on the settings of my camera ? before I take the photo,
Do I reduce the pic, size on the laptop  ?  before I post them.

My earlier posts were with a older camera.

        TEES G.

Hi Tees G, you reduce the size on your laptop and then post.

Regards Dave.

Posting pictures seems to be getting harder and harder to do lately.
My file sizes are small, and it doesn't "time-out", but won't post.

The problem is back it seems.
The past month or so; posting pictures takes forever!!!
If they upload at all, that is.

Got the 'Internal Server Error' message several times.

Suds,

We are aware of the problem and have passed it on to our honourable leader to look at. After all a model boat forum without pictures ain't worth having. I am sure the problem will get sorted out soon. ::)

Don't want to be the party pooper after the admin has put so much time into the forum improvements here...but posting pictures is getting worse, not better.

Totally a 'hit or miss' thing now.  Getting the message  Database error...over and over again, then a message saying that I've already posted the message, which never went though.  This is happening with posts without pictures as well, as of yesterday and this morning.

sorry but I have been having the same problem for a few weeks noe ,if I don;t get the time out error message I get the already posted one and nothing goes through, BUT if I post the text first, then modify the post by adding ONE picture, further posts seem to work OK. :-[ :-[

Hi thanks for letting us know.

It seems fine with some members and problems for others. It can sometimes depend on the speed of your connections and is often slower at busy times such as evenings.

Once we get the forum a bit more straightened up we will continue to look at this issue....I know it is the main problem now.

I know you are a patient bunch but if you can bear with us a while long.

Cheers

I first choose the photos and e-mail them to myself - knocks the size of them down - then add each one and hit Post - wander off - find the scotch, come back and I have to choose Home and they are usually up. Very rarely an error but incredibly slow. I used to post on the Mayhem site and RC Groups and could submit a ton at once. Not a major concern though -

Is there any way to post more than three pics?
