New line of bow thrusters?
« on: March 27, 2011, 08:56:56 »
I found these, http://www.hobby-lobby-modellbau.com/onlineshop/index.php/cat/c323_Bow-Thruster.html

though expensive, (what isn't anymore), the larger sizes and ability to supply your own motor almost make them worth a look.

I took an I.Q. test once..........The results came back negative.

I like the option of motor selection ... have to wait and see how popular they get...

Any comment I make is the official view of all the voices in my head.

You generally get what you pay for , they are very inexpensive when you consider the equipment you need to buy to make them on your own ..

I have tried to make my own unit and it turned ok for a first attempt however I figure it will be another go or two before I get what I want ... that being said  , if you calculate in my time and parts and the cost of my lathe that bow thruster prototype cost about $3000.00 CDN dollars ..

The units from MARX are a nice compromise between scale and cost .

Brian, every time you come up with something like this, makes me remember how bad I was with playdough ;D.  You do such excellent work.
