LPG Barge
« on: March 17, 2008, 19:41:29 »
Seeking good, closeup photos of Liquid Petroleum Gas barges.  The ones with two cylindrical pressure tanks that are nearly as long as the barge.  I am building a model LPG barge.

Hello all, welcome to the forum dferay. I did a quick google search and came up with this link http://www.totalenergy.com/Tank%20Inventory/Location%20By%20State/Louisina/BARGE/barge.html which once you cick on the smaller images enlarge to give you a good appreciation of the extreme weathering.

cheers

Jim

Dont laugh....dont laugh...honest missus...ohh ergh...Matron!

I once found a german site who had one of these boats, but had it listed as something like a 'tittenboot' or something daft, obviously 'titty boat' because of the bulbous nature of the tanks, complete with 'nipples' on top.

I'll trawl my links pages and try to find the website, but maybe Stefans seen it somewhere too?

Here's an old barge with four tanks. Is the large one what you're looking for?
