Graupner  halted  production of  Pollux , Anja  (same ABS hull )  and  I do not know if there is any other  model of this size   available . I prefer the little bigger (60cm)  Neptune   tug  by Robbe .

Otherwise  you may  scratch build a springer tug   with polyesterine sheets   , a job  that is  rather easy .

Hi Dekan, a couple that spring to mind are the sets of vacuum moudings from S H G, a diesel tug they call King Midas, which is around 450mm and last time I saw their catalogue was only 25 including running gear, and a set of accessories at another 15 plus postage. They were also had a Springer type called Sprinter at around 50, all plus postage of course. There was also another set of vacuum mouldings for a tug from I believe it was Model Slipway. Hope thats of some use.

Thanks , I have seen Springers they don't seem very seaworthy to me

I have not seen any small tugs on the Modelslipway web site...  Sarik do the Miniscrew tug which I believe is the same small tug as advertised by Waverly..Kingston mouldings also do a small hull... but I'm after a kit really. SHG is on the list...

I will check out the Neptune, anybody built one ?

Thanks... but the Torben is way too big. I'm looking for something of a similar size to the Pollux...

I like the Neptun, but it a bit more than I want to spend and a little too detailed....

I emailed Mark at AModelWorld who are advertising that they have stock of the Pollux in the latest issue of MMI.

This was Marks answer

"Yes it is discontinued but we have a very similar thing only problem is we have run out at present next batch is around 6 weeks away"

I'm not sure what "a very similar thing" mean?

I may have to  look at the SHG King Midas Tug, anybody built one and what was the verdict

It is unfortunate that they have discontinued these (maybe something someone could develop a similar hull ?.. angel) , not sure if the hike in the price had anything to do with that but thats life. It is a shame as going by the fun the Ribble club had at the Model Boat Convetion last weekend with their Football match ..See Video.  When we saw these a couple of years ago we as a club would have bought about 10 but the price was a bit OTT ish for our lot.

However after last weekend a few of us are looking into the possibilites of making our own , I have the GG book "Small Radio Control Boats" in which are a few designs which I think could be easly rejigged to give a similar boat.

Sorry, the tug "Neptun" is discontinued and not longer available!

 :'(

Odin is gone, Pollux is gone - now Neptun is gone too.

And I heard a bad rumor about billing boats, too.

BAd times for tug fans.
