The Rotor spins via a microswitch activated by the extra throw of the rudder.

Neat idea Len, it is so good to see these little quirky things take off. All the more welcome to bring children flocking to the wonders of model boating.

cheers

Update on the Scotia North Shipyard (Spey division)  Since they tend to submerge  :-[ I thought why not a submarine version after Toesup`s idea with his Red Oktober. Another inspiration was Mr. Takahashi`s Visby corvette so a stealth version evolved and it shed water like the proverbial duck. Also a "dumb barge" HMS Plank decoy dynamic-dive sub which goes under when towed at speed. (see www.putfile.com/arrow5)  A lot of Naval activity so may use the "Springalong" stretched hull for an aircraft carrier version but I realy wanted to do a stern-wheeler so maybe a compromise is called for. :-\ ::) :o Got it :) ;) :D ;D

Hello all, Hi Arrow5, I had been wondering what had been happening in the SNS(Sd) yards of late. Obviously a lot more than in the Shetland Ultimate Springer Production & Engineering Co Trainees shipyard, as in SUSPECT products  ;D with nothing done over the past two months. Too busy getting into the new job with no time to spare for actual building, virtual building yes but nothing tangible to show for it.

cheers

I like that expression Jim - "Virtual Building" - does have one advantage though, no cleaning up afterwards !
No matter which way you throw me - I'll always stand.

Hi Ken , yes I can thoroughly recommend the virtual building. You can get so much more done in your head than actually completed on the workbench. Every modeller should take up this concept and finally put paid to all the local hobby stores.  :( a sad day that would be indeed.

cheers

Toesup Boat Works. He like Norry is an avid builder.
I believe TBW claims a 4lb bollard pull with that little springer.  8)

Toesup's Mustang Sally transporting Scoot to a new job for Toesup Boat Works.
