We look forward to the build of such a fine Tug by such a skilled modeler !!!

If Anyone can do a proper build of a TID we are confident that the well know Mr. May will do a fine job.

Today was the day for the first sailing of TID 164, so after collecting all the things needed to raise steam it was off to the lake.  After checking everything and raising steam the boat was placed in the water and off she went.  I sailed around for about ten minutes and then brought it in for a quick check to ensure everything was in order.

I was really pleased with the way it sailed, just a bit of weight requied to trim it up for next time.

Here are some more photos of the occasion.

WELL DONE !
The particular shade of yellow colour of the superstructure is very good.
I am now inspired to work on one of the last Lesro TID'S that were available and that I was lucky enough to get.

Now that I have finished building my model of TID 164 I have been collating all my research and information and have produced an ebook of it.  It includes a brief history of the tug, many photographs I used to build the model, construction photographs and some photos of it sailing.

If any one would like to download a copy then your free to do so at the link below
