Towboats seen near my hometown

In my albums I found some more pushers, the pictures are all taken near my home. The ships you see here are all sailing between Rotterdam and the Ruhr-area near Duisburg in Germany. They sail with 4 or 6 barges these Barges are about 79mtrs(260ft) and carry aprox 3000metric tons(3307 short tons) depending to the min. waterdepth on their route up hill(up stream) as we say here, They carry ore and coals from Rotterdam-Europort to Germany what takes about 24-26 hrs In Duisburg(Germany) they disconnect the barges and sail back with empty barges in aprox 12 hrs. The disconnecting and connecting takes about 1 or 2hrs and they sail 24/7 so every 42 hours there ready for the next trip all the year round. Up hill they sail with 2x2 or 3x2 barges down hill with 2x2 or 2x3 barges. The big pushers of the company Veerhaven have 3 engines with 1800hp each(MAK)
