A few more to view I will add details, if I can find any, at a later date.

`President`...The Tyne `Brown Company Fleet` at South Shields

`Houghton`...I believe we have a member (Joseph Coatsworth) who actually sailed on her and I am sure he would have a lot more info
from 1st-hand knowledge than anything a book could tell us.
I look forward to hearing any info he can supply.

Regards Jim.

Great old tugs Jim, I remember the ship canal paddlers and just remember the last one on the Mersey, the 'Troon'. I read somewhere that the Eppleton Hall is neglected and rotting away in San Francisco due to the shortage of funds, the Museum can only concentrate on local vessels.

Fred, (I can't walk on water but I have staggered on whisky)

Unknown paddle tug at Portsmouth 1917, the HMS Victory is in the background and in the foreground the Russian battleship "Tsesarevich".
If anyone knows which paddler this could be please feel free to share the info.

[how long does "anyone/thing" have to "live" in San Francisco before they are entitled to be classed as "Local" ? This poor "old-girl" has more entitlement to that claim than, I would hazard a guess, most of the population that dwell there today.

I found these two outstanding pics of the "UNITED SERVICE".

The first she is in her towage mode,
The second in her passenger mode...you will note added handrails and lifeboats not to mention the passengers.(Can anyone tell me what the structure is in background [near the bow] it looks like the start of a bridge...I have never been to Yarmouth and am clutching at straws.)

AHHHH.... Sunday at the seaside
