springer tug

he is  another springer build from me!  ;D it a grp hull  the running gear is : 3inch steering nozzel  70mm propshop 'prop'  m5 shaft  the motor is a graupner 700 with a 2:5:1 gearbox (ive tryed it in the test tank & its cool >:D :o) batterys will be 2 x 6volt 4amps  the deck is plywood the upper works are 1.5mm styrene  aprox scale is 1:32nd still got a way to go before  finished!!   regards ray

A tough looking springer Ray!
Might need larger drain openings on the deck!

Ray you did know the rules of the Springer.
1.5" prop 2-3 blade
Rudder no bigger than 4" square.
Thats open Wheel
6 volts max
We all know that your power starved.
Your springer is going to be more of a sub at speed.
Hope your water tight.

hi  mike & gary    i can run it in 6v or 12v  i may try 6volt first & then go from there?
