another springer from me

hi all here is another springer  from me its a g.r.p hull   styrene upperworks  it has a 3inch nozzel & prop  a graupner 700 motor geared 3/1 i can run it on 6volt or 12  just need to add more detaill & the electric's inside  regards ray

well  i managed to get  sea trials in for this springer   yesterday   &  :-\ :-\   its mad!    i  am running it on 12volt (i can run 6v as well)   it dived at about half throttle to get water inside   but stood up on full throttle  :-\  regards ray

HI RAY ; Now that is some serious power . I tried APACHE on 14 volts four battery pack 2 in series 2 in parallel  and four pounds extra weight .  Not pretty .  Scrapped that idea .   PUFFIN

hi glen  i will be scraping the power set up on this springer  ill prob take the motor out & the nozzle to (its allmost 3inch)  regrds ray

You have to remember the rules for the Springer. That's if your going to compete with it.
6 volts
1.5" prop 3 blade or less
18" long 8" beam
rudder no bigger than 4 square Inches ( the trick is the shape that you make it)
The rest is yours to do as you wish.

Any particular reason? Overpowered is good for towing but has it given you a problem?

hi   chris & jason  well i would have left it but the proplem i had was a half throttle it  just 'drove its self under '  bad!  & filled up with water    problem was the angle of the prop shaft  me thinks  but anyway its now haveing minor surgery  having a 50mm nozzel & prop fitted   ill keep you's updated  regards ray
