I have been cutting my own but I wouldn't wish that on anyone. What a pain in the toocas it has been. Your search will depend on what species you are seeking. Most hobby supply stores and on line sources stock bass wood and balsa. I have seen several Forum members use lime wood which I believe is similar to bass.

Bending wood for the hull is rather standard. Give it a soak in warm water to soften it up a bit and have a go. I hear that alcahol will expedite the process but don't know much about it. Google it and I'm sure you will find something usefull.

Best of luck to you on your project. Hopefully you will start a build thread so we can follow your progress.
