The Rachel Erin, Freelance Paddle Tug
« on: April 22, 2013, 09:55:42 »
Hi,
I hope this qualifies as a tug, it is freelance, but is inspired by american vessels. The drive to the paddles is achieved by worm gear and the paddles themselves were cut on my school's  laser cutter when I was still teaching (now retired). I should, I suppose, shield the paddles so that it could act as a towboat, but I like to see the paddles churning up the water.
