I have always given my paintings away, usually to friends and family, I have even used them as currency to pay for car repairs etc. I sold only 2 paintings, one to a Nigerian Company for 25 and they asked me to do six of their ships for a calendar, I did so and sent them off and that was the last I saw of them or any money. Thre was no calendar and I heard later that they were hanging in various peoples houses over there.
The second one was through a high class art dealer in Liverpool who sold it for 75 and he sent me a cheque for 25. No wonder I went back to modelling

Cheers Fred

Here's a photo of a painting I did for RivTow, back in 1990.
Acrylics on art board.

...and one of the Seaspan Regent with a logbarge.

...and the 'Gulf Warrior' in heavy seas

Hi Mike,

Super paintings.
I envy your mastery of the weather, from flat calm to wet and wild no problem!

Martin, I have always wished I had taken up the art of painting/drawing, one of my neighbours is a professional artist and can produce a great quality oil or water colour from a photo in hours, your drawing is excellent  :) Well Done  :D

Regards, Dan.
Photos / Information, I nearly have them all !
