HI SYD , Is that rope that goes though each model ?   Is that for theft reasons ?  PUFFIN

Hi Puffin - thats certainley the case, some stands have a complete alarm system others wind the cable/rope in around and through the models to make it difficult to remove an individual model. (At least that is my understanding).
Thanks for the other comments Guys - more photographs to come.

Quite the mix of boats there!
Would be quite the show to attend - take awhile to absorb them all.

AGAIN,,  fantastic pictures Syd.  Seeing those side paddle wheelers takes me back (way back!) to my younger years in Glasgow Scotland when a sunday outing was a trip down the Clyde in a paddle wheeler.  Can't remember the name of it, but you have brought back some great memories.  Thanks again.     Norm

Thanks for the comments chaps, yes a lot to take in, and I didn't attempt to cover the display knowm as the Spithead Review which I believe is some 550 ships at 1/1200 scale. In my younger days i think I might have had tickets for all three days to cover it to the depth that it should receive. But now the spirit might be willing but the legs have other idears. Always something about a paddler, my main memories of them are when the Woolwich Free Ferry had them, travel from one side to the other then race the ferry :'( back useing the foot tunnel, ah youth. :'( ???
