Nice pics. Looks like some nice infrastructure.  :)

Do you leave all your stuff (piers, small boathouses/warehouses, ...) on site or do you pack it up when you're done ?

I suspect that here in France stuff would probably get vandalized or stolen within weeks.  ???

...Hi Calimero...

We start at 8am and build it all up in time for a 10am start...
Then after the show it is all dismantled and stored away in our clubhouse store...

In France it might last weeks but in Glasgow it wouldn,t last hours...

We add something new to the set up every show...
Next its a Breakwater...

...Best Regards...Norry...

Quite the same, so ...

Next Saturday I'm going to join a model club a 15 minutes from home.

They have access to a city pond and built a concrete "pier" years ago. It is flush with the water so that launches and recoveries are easy. There's just a couple buoys and the pond's not so big (good for scale models, might be a bit cramped for speed boats). And we can park our cars just 50ft from the pond !

The model club also has a workshop (shared with the aircraft guys) with a nice ensemble of machinery: drill press, lathe, electric scroll saws and two 2-axis CNC milling machines (nothing too advanced, but probably very useful to cut boat or aircraft frames from plywood.
