Hi All:

Thanks for the kind words!!
It's really fun to see all the close-up detail pictures of all your models, and I've learnt so much from Ray, footski, Puffin, and others, that it makes it all worth while!!

I'm not going to add any 'Otter Poop' to this model, but last year I built some docks for our model boat show here at the marina and a friend managed to find some little scale Otters, which I glued to the docks, and 'fashioned' some scale poop for authenticity.

Too much fun!!

Cheers

Mike

Otter poop, and beer can widget bouys...what a creative bunch we are! Now, when someone builds a working "head"....I'm really gonna be impressed.
Fair winds, and following seas....

Well, just spent most of last night, and about 4hrs today, getting this radar to work right :) :)

I trashed the 'mini' digital camera motor, as it heated up badly, so installed a servo motor, after removing the 'stops'.

Now, to mount the switch, and build a little tray for the battery pack to live in.

Got some more rigging wires done, using stretchable 'bead-cord'. I really like using this cord; because if you, or someone else bumps it, it is elastic and doesn't break. Also, it repels dust, unlike thread ;)

P.S. I slowed the rotation speed down a bit, since I made this video ;D ;D

Hi Ray:
She's quite a ways from finished!
Hopefully ready for April.
Not in any great hurry, as it's fun learning stuff from you guys, and gals, and implementing.

I should get the shackles this week; they're on their way here from the UK.

Cheers

Mike,

That radar looks superb.....Very impressive....Now before you ask, I know it is 3.45 am and the typing seems a little croaky, but I am full of a cough and sore throat so have got up to let Mrs Footski get some sleep. Anyway the cricket from India starts shortly so good night for now amigo...
