Burnaby Association of Marine Modelers (BAMM) does a fun float every Sunday morning and most Wednesday mornings at Burnaby Central Park.

Como Lake Model Yacht Group sails in fair weather Sunday mornings at Como Lake in Coquitlam.

Both are near Vancouver, BC.

No model boat regattas in September that I am aware of.

August 29 - 31 Olympia Washington USA, 3.5 hrs south in car has Harbour Days . Small above ground pond display mostly static .
In the Harbour are the real tugs with racing on Sunday , Lots of food and vendors, Small town carnival like setting.
Have not been down for 6 years now but want to go again.

My trip will start on 1st / 2nd Sept.  because i will be Events Manager for

" Paddleducks day " at Knightswood club Glasgow on 30th Aug.

Have a 10 day window at the start in  Vancouver , to be in Thunder Bay round about the 14th/15th  then move on to Toronto at the end of the month , and home to Glasgow no later than Mid Oct.
