Ray,

Here is a link to my Franklin build thread in steam tugs on the Forum:

I commissioned a Franklin hull from Karl at Microglass many years ago and he did a fine job of it. He offers the hull in 1/32nd scale with plans. The hull is high quality and accurate with the exception of an external keel to make her track better. The 1:1 Franklin had an internal box keel which encouraged her propensity to roll.

Copies of the original plans for HMS Frisky may be obtained by writing to the curator at the Greenwich Maritime Museum in the UK. There are many other sources of information available much of which can be found within my build thread and elsewhere on the Forum. Ron Horabin scratch built a beautiful 1/24th scale Franklin which appears on the Forum and elsewhere on the internet. Ron was most kind in answering my questions and providing information at his own expense as I did my initial research and began construction. He was very supportive of my efforts and I appreciate his assistance. I would be happy to pay forward Ron's kindness to me in offering assistance and support to your friend. Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Just noticed this-thanks much for the information.  I've sent an email to the museum to enquire as to getting plans!

All the best!
