« on: November 25, 2014, 06:04:55 »
Blearily taking my pills this morning and the blister pack material caught my eye. Anyone else think it could pass as ali or stainless diamond pattern treadplate on steps etc etc?

Has possibilities, as long as it fits the scale of your boat.  Would be interesting to see it on a boat.

Do you think it will take paint or do you plan to use it as is?

HI MTM

Would use it as it is on a modern build. That area tween the pill pockets is about 2"x2"

Must be some compensation for having to keep taking the b****y things!!!

Look in your kitchen cupboard for the grease splatter guard (goes over the frying pan when making chips) - lots of screen there for steps, etc.

Might puzzle your other half though when she can't find it.

Your local hobbyshop may stock plasticard products such as diamond pattern.
Mike's suggestion is a very good one though, and looks very realistic on step treads.
It may even rust after a few years, making it even more so authentic :)
