The Jersey Model Boat Club have completed the model of the S.S Vega in time to mark her first trip( 29/12/44) of 6 to the Channel Islands carrying food and medicines to the hungry islanders. The food parcels were donated by Canada and New Zealand even a few from India. The model is now on display at the
Red Cross shop in St Helier. to see more of the build look on our website

Forgot to add that our local camcorder club has made a short dvd about the making of the Vega and a bit of the history of supplying the islands  during the German occupation.   it is on u-tube under 'Annette Lowe vega' worth a look.

Just to update the J.M.B.Cs Vega project.  After a year on show at various locations, but mainly at the Jersey war tunnels museum it has raised so far in excess of 8.000 for the Red Cross. It has now been moved to the departure lounge at our airport, where we hope it will continue to raise even more money..

Just another update on our 'Vega' project. It is now in place at our St Helier ferry terminal,  and the total so far raised for the Red Cross is an amazing 9.874.30p.

I will bribe my grandson to put some recent pictures that were taken at the Jersey War Tunnels on.
I seem to lose them somewhere.
