Hello Mike,

Just a note so that I understand what you seek. I got the modern type tugboat part.
Then, suitable for towing and steering a flying spindrift of similar. . .I don't understand.
And, I have't heard of a tidy tug or spindrift. You can see that I need some more
information. I'll bet you that there are many here who do know what you are looking
for and I am eager to know if you are going to tow a parachute or is a spindrift the name
for some kind of barge.

Sorry to be slow Mike, but you will run into some like me here on the Forum.
I hope you find the right tug,
Michael

Flying Spindrift is an ASD tug built in 1986, IMO 8500953. Tyne Models in the UK made a kit but sadly it comes with fixed screws instead of actual 360 Schottel drives. But it could probably be modified quite easily.

Thank you Calimero for giving me a heads up. I knew that I would look like
a tugboat buffoon on this one, but now I am quite enlightened.

Here is what I found on the Net at: http://www.tynemodels.com/flyingspindrift/flying_spindrift.htm

Looks like a very fine tigboat to me and again, thank you Calimero,
Michael

  Hi,
I know someone who may sell their Flying Spindrift but I don't have any photos of the tug on my PC, let me know if you are interested and I will point you in the right direction to speak with the owner.
      Cheers,
            Peter.
The photo is my Lowgarth Mountfleet models but my own design and build (the kit quality and fit was very poor) I scatch built the superstructure from photos of the Foylegarth and scaled it off the figures. Sails superbly.
