Ostensjo tug
« on: April 17, 2015, 14:36:31 »
I have just returned back to the UK after spending a couple of days at this years Dortmund Model Exhibition in Germany, as ever it is very busy with big crowds entering the show from 9-6 and the exhibits some are just mind blowing. After not attending the show for 8 years I'm gonna be giving it some serious consideration for next year already.
I went into the show and the boating section this year was in hall 5 and I saw about six very small tugs based on the Damen mooring launch design, as the attached photo is one of the model of the Obelix which the full size tug is owned by the Norwegian tug company Ostensjo Rederi. I was wondering if anybody knew which company / person makes the hull for this tug?
As here in the UK, Solent Towage Ltd have one called the Asterix identical to the Obelix which operates down at Fawley.
I would be extremely grateful for any information regarding this tug hull or how to get hold of one.

Regards
Kevin

A kit in scale 1:15 is offered by the Polish company modelmast.com:
http://www.modelmast.com/Komplettbaukasten_GFK_nie.htm
The kit contains hull, deck, and superstructures and costs 189 EUR plus shipping.

There has been a model in scale 1:50 made by Kagelmacher. But the company doesn't exist anymore.

The paint code for Ostensjo's fleet , That is if you require them.
If you are using Hemple Paints codes 30100 Dark Blue Hull, 310N0 Light Blue .
The original colors are Jotun 138 Dark Blue and 129 Light Blue.
These are the same as my Ajax tug I made some time ago.
