Maybe a dumb question on the fans, but will they blow air onto the motors or run to pull the warmer air off of them?  Never thought of putting fans on the motors, seems like a good idea though.  Nice work!

Hi tug-arlyn-nelson,
The fans are 12v 60mm computer fans, blowing cool air over the motors to keep them cool. I do this to all my models even if they don't need them as I like to through them about a bit on our local lake to see what they are capable of.

Hi All,
Done a bit more work last night and installed the internals for a bit of dry testing. The next stage will be to paint the inside and outside of the hull for water testing at the weekend hopefully.

Hi All,
Managed to do some more work, a bit slow going at the moment. Painted the inside of the hull and put the internals back in just needs connecting up.
Also fixed the log teeth and the rear roller.

Hi tbone,
The winch is a Harbour models kit  http://www.harbormodels.com/ you can also get a motorised version as well.
I went with the kit as I wanted a winch that has a lot of torque, so I converted the kit with Meccano cogs and worm drive and its chain driven from a 3.3.1 geared motor and esc.
The dimensions are length 100m, width 90mm and height 80mm.
