Yep out of my comfort zone Geo, but mouldings were offered to me as a gift and it seemed churlish to refuse!!! Especially as I had the motors on the shelf.

A little more progress made. Fendering added [ends still to be blanked off], ports and window frames added and cabin primed.

Very nice Pete, it has a real sleek and tough appearance. It looks like you have
a pair of "700s" running the show. I hope you are able to share some video
of your Pilot Boat in action. Thank you for a fine post and all.

Dug this out of the cupboard and decided to do a bit more to it after a layoff of 12 months doing other things. Not gonna be super detailed as the idea was to use up a load of the bits and pieces I already had, so more a stand-off model.

ha ha dont you like my weathering john. come to think of it dont think I have seen a really dirty pilot boat, even in the backwaters of the med. wouldnt  be much rust anyway as I think even the real ones are nearly all plastic and stainless these days!!!!

Just about finished. Electrics installed and working. Needed to add just 1lb of ballast to bring the head down slightly. This took the form of an old tobacco tin epoxied into the hull and filled with old car wheel nuts [Dont ask!!] This means if I want to lighten her a bit I can take the lid of the tin off and remove some ballast. This brought it to an all up weight of about 11lbs. So we know it works, we know it floats next we find out how it goes.
