This is the link. There is a further link for pics on the page.

I had the good fortune of catching some pictures myself, but these promo pictures are far better...

The Polaris is indeed a beauty. Designed for 50 years of service. . .it must be really stout.

I designed my tug to have an ice breaker bow. I thought it would be cool if it could go out
on the pond that had a very thin ice sheet and watch it break ice. Like the Polaris, I built it
pretty stout. . .lots of over kill.

Like you said, Hande, "May the Polaris break ice and sail well!"

I have wondered, if there are any model ice breakers out there...
There's the Axel (Swedish ice breaker)
can you link me to your build? Sounds fabulous! Did you break ice already?

I don't know of any Ice Breaker models here on the Forum, Hande. I did find this model photo:

and this one:

There are many ice breaking tugboats in the harbors of the North Atlantic countries.

If you would like to take a look at my tugboat design I have a lot of pictures of how
to build it here: www.2tugboats.com

Send in pictures of your thoughts and efforts with your tugboat build. We all would like
to see what you decide to do, Hande.

Check out a video clip that was tweeted by @AkerArctic recently to see Polaris in action. It's awesome. Despite efforts, I haven't been able to locate the clip at any web location. So you need to search for the account in twitter.
