Springer Refit
« on: October 15, 2016, 15:52:04 »
I recently purchased this built and fully operational Springer. I know nothing of it's history other than it may have been a local build and that I've seen pictures of it at the Foss Cup. Credit to the builder, it was nicely done.
Now that it's on my bench, it's going to get a new life.

Fellow in Nanaimo built it I think - he brought it out to a number of their shows.
Interesting little hull on your bench as well.

Will be watching Rick.  Don't have any springer tugs, so won't be able to throw in my 2 cents, but interested.

After playing around with some drawings I came up with this combination of ideas from several real pusher tugs. This is a mock up but I like where it's going. Your comments, suggestions and criticisms are welcome.

Hi Rick

I`m in! Seems to become a nice one, the pics are a promise! That new superstructure makes it a bigger boat in a smaller scale than before.

Regards
Gerhard

Yup, that looks more like working pusher tug.  HD!
