USS Mazapeta YTM-181
« on: May 15, 2017, 06:47:48 »
The USS Mazapeta YTM-181 is still alive and well.   She is a 1943 US Navy Tug that worked out of San Francisco mainly.  We are looking for anyone who might remember her then and even better yet some old photos.   She is currently in Stockton California and still running.   You can find and follow her at:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1762676084008145/

We know she used to have on her stack a emblem of a chess Piece with a helmet on said "Have Tug Will Tow".

I know you all love Tugs and hope this finds some old salts that remember her.

Hello Sudden Stop. . .thank you for sharing the YouTube link. The YTM-181 is a
strong tug and it is refreshing to watch her sailing. I have a fondness for YTMs
and your sharing was quite refreshing to these old eyes.

Thank you Sudden,
Michael
