Graupner voith Schneider 1768
« on: June 14, 2017, 23:17:04 »
Hello there I'm looking for 1/2 of the old version graupner voith Schneider units for a project for my son, I have 2 in my tug, but he would love the same tug.
I work on a tug called the SD adept as mate and my dad works on the SD faithful as AB and my son would love a model his grandads tug.
I've got the plans and started building the hull but would need ideally two graupner 1768 voith units this is a long shot to be honest I know they are becoming very rare.

Thanks for looking and hopefully someone can help. 🤞

Regards Shaun

Thank you for the replys, the larger units are nice but ideally you need a smaller VSP units, mind you I didn't realise they done a brushless motor version. Looks good.

I saw the new brushless type voiths in Dortmund on the Bauer stand back in April and they are really nice kit I posted some photo's on this site of them and the kit they are originally intended for. Here's the photo taken back in Dortmund of the brushless ones.

Hi Kev. Did the blades look to be any longer or wider, just a thought if they were, if they would fit the Graupner voith to give more thrust on lower revs.

Cheers

I'm not sure on the diameter /size of blades John but i do know that the brushless is more powerful than the original ones as the manager of Bauer Modelle mentioned to me the difference in the units.
They really perform well the one l saw on display in Germany but unfortunately there are pretty pricey.

Shaun.

I am happy you got the two VSP we sold you. Hope they were Ok as we never used them but its good you have a model now.

They were purchased in Goteborg back in 1993 and bought to New Zealand and now they are in the UK. Well travelled.
