It's fine with me and I'm sure my buddy River Bill wouldn't mind either. That's what the videos are there for.

This was my first tow boat. Built a pt boat, and a paddle wheeler  found out that I much rather build tow and barges.
Even tried ships.Just not enjoyable to me. Give me a tow anyday.
I built the tow last year a year ago. Got a photo off the internet, and scaled it up on autocad. Made it like i would design it. Hope it will even float
then. Didnt know about towboat joe. Getting ready to order some plans from him. I want to build a crane barge workable. Have repainted the pipe barge.
Some features of my rig.
Barges are four foot long, 12 inches wide. Tow is also four foot long. Makes 12 foot. A crane barge will add atleast 5 foot.
12vdc power supply , twin 12vdc motors, twin rudders, etronic speed controller 25amp.
Bought some detail parts for Harbor Models in Ca.
Have plans done for my next tow boat, and yes it will be bigger.
Havent learn how to post photos yet. might try.

I just love those American towboats - I've built two myself, thanks to Joe Brown (towboatjoe).

Bill Zumwalt has also been a great help in the past, and his skills at handling a model with a large tow have to be seen to be believed! Amazing!

Eddy
