Carol Moran 50Inch Need a Basic Wiring Diagram
« on: April 27, 2018, 11:02:25 »
Hi All,
Newbie to R/C, my next build will be the Dumas 50 Inch  Carol Moran, bought running hardware from M.A.C.K. Products, looking for a hard copy wiring diagram with servo placing for rudder control. Recommendations for radio and best servos.

Hi Simon - welcome to the forum.

For wiring diagrams, check out http://www.action-electronics.co.uk/wd.html - there are dozens of wiring diagrams to look through - single and twin screw, with and without bow thruster, and many with various other "options" which you can install or leave out as you wish.

Regarding rudder servo location - this will depend on the space you have available within your hull, and whether you have one or two rudders.  But beware, it is possible to install the servo in such a manner that you get more rudder movement to one side than the other;  this is not necessarily a problem if the lesser movement is still enough for your boat's needs - you can then use your radio's setup to set different travel limits on each side, so that your rudder(s) only move the (same) required distance.

Good luck with the build.
