Barn doors
« on: June 12, 2018, 07:48:22 »
Hello all

I find myself in Berlin on a gloriously sunny day and decided that I had to visit again the Historic Harbour on the River Spree to see some of the delightful old boats and some of which I hope to be future builds.

I noticed a newcomer and took a photo, especially for those who do not believe that tugs etc can have barn doors at their stern!

 All the best,

 Toby

I have sent to the harbourmaster an email requesting information on what is available re drawings and plans etc.

I shall upload further pictures later. For some reason I am getting an error message concerning the attachment. Perhaps the connection is a little slow. Certainly slower here than in the UK.

Sorry all. You will just have to wait a while for the other beauties.

I have had a reply from the harbour master:

We do not have original plans of any of the boats, just a boiler drawing of the boiler of steamer Andreas.
We have recently made plans of a Finow boat later, it is the barge BR - 2-068 A, he is on the fishing island in the first packet opposite the Mühlendamm lock.

So it looks as though it is a case of photos and seeking permission to go aboard with measuring tape.
