Figures from China
« on: August 08, 2008, 00:17:21 »
Hi Guys and galls,

I know that most of us build to larger scales, but I have just recieved these figures all the way from China. 100 pieces for 1.76p (Sterling). They are 3/4 inch high (1.9 cm), representing a scale of about 1/93. With a little wrok some of them will crew my Springer Tanker.
Great value for money.  reckon the plastic box would have cost more over here in the west.

Looks like your Springer Tanker is going to have a very 'diverse' crew Barry :o

I bought 100 unpainted 1:50 scale figures from Virtual Village in China. They cost 7.90 plus P&P.

Quite a lot of boats in the South of England now have these as crew as they dont look out of place on 1:48 boats and I didnt need them all myself.

They do all the railway scales and a few more, plus loads of other stuff.

These figures look like copies of Preiser figures.
And, yes cheaper although not nearly as fine in detail.

Definately some interesting stuff there!

Those 'geared' motors would be great for Heavy Duty tow winches :)
